Biog: For Jessica, acting has always run through her veins. Age age 16 she starred as Michelle in her first short film Just Like Them and from there her passion for acting only grew. She went on to star in both of her Year 12 productions as ‘Dolly’ in Cloudstreet and ‘Mrs Smith’ in The Bald Prima Donna. That year she also received the Filmbites Outstanding Commitment and Achievement Award and The Michael Keeting Speech and Solo Winner Award at the Catholic Performing Arts Festival. In 2012 she was selected to be apart of the Filmbites Professional Partnership Program where she starred as ‘Debbie’ in Paul Komadina’s short film, Darkness. In more recent years Jessica has worked on a variety of exciting projects including a role as a hostage in feature film The Rag Witch and a war activist in documentary series The War That Changed Us. Jessica has also undergone training in short courses at NIDA, WAAPA, ECU and Filmbites and has been tutored by industry professionals including Fern Nicholson (founder of Nicholson’s Academy of Screen Acting), actor Igor Sas (known for his role as Stefan Raddick in Parallax) and Associate Professor Dalip Sondhi (founder of SDDS education group).
